Text messaging

Rotlo answers the phone for restaurants. When you call one that uses Rotlo, we can text you about the order or reservation you just made, on the restaurant’s behalf. We only do it if you say yes on the call, and only about that order or reservation. This page explains how it works.

Rotlo LLC, Cincinnati, Ohio Effective October 1, 2026 Last updated October 15, 2026

1The program

Rotlo order messages are text messages sent by Rotlo LLC on behalf of the restaurant you called. Every message names that restaurant. We send:

  • a confirmation of your order or reservation;
  • a secure link to pay for your order, if you choose to pay ahead;
  • updates about that order, such as when it is ready; and
  • replies when you text back about that order.

We never send marketing or promotional messages through this program.

2How you agree to receive texts

You agree on the phone call itself. Before sending any text, Rotlo asks for your permission, tells you what it will send, and tells you how to stop. For example:

RotloCan I text your order confirmation and a secure payment link to the number you’re calling from? Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP at any time.

CallerYes, please.

RotloGreat, I’ll send that now.

If you say no, we don’t text you, and you can pay when you arrive. If you’d like the texts to go to a different number, Rotlo reads that number back to you before sending. Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
